   FBLA DRESS CODE

Future Business Leaders of America members and advisers should develop an awareness of the image of one’s appearance projects. The purpose of the dress code is to uphold the professional image of the association and its members and to prepare students for the business world.  Appropriate attire is required for all attendees – advisers, members, and guests – at all general sessions, competitive events, regional meetings, workshops, and other activities unless otherwise state in the conference program.  Conference name badges are part of the dress code and must be worn for all conference-related functions.

ACCEPTABLE

  1. Business dress
  2. Dress shoes/dress boots
  3. Business suit with blouse OR collared dress shirt and neck or bow tie
  4. Dress pants or skirt with blouse OR collared dress shirt and neck or bow tie
  5. Blazer with dress pants and blouse OR collared dress shirt and neck or bow tie

UNACCEPTABLE

  1. Hats
  2. Shorts
  3. Swimwear
  4. Boat shoes
  5. Hiking boots
  6. Athletic shoes and clothing
  7. Industrial work shoes
  8. Any canvas or fabric shoes
  9. Flip flops or casual sandals
  10. Denim or flannel clothing of any kind
  11. Leggings or graphic designed hosiery/tights
  12. Jewelry in visible body piercing, other than ears
  13. Skintight or revealing clothing, including tank tops, spaghetti straps, and mini/short skirts or dresses
  14. Clothing with printing that is suggestive, obscene, or promotes illegal substances
